Oregon MusicLink teachers are qualified, professional teachers seeking to share their love of music with a deserving child. They are willing to reduce their fee by at least half.
All MusicLink teachers are required to pass a background check.
If you (a) are already teaching a student at a reduced rate (50% or more) because of financial need or (b) are willing to do so, please join the MusicLink community! Register as a MusicLink teacher by clicking the button below.
When a potential student is identified you will have an opportunity to meet with a student and their family. If all parties agree to begin lessons, a "link" will be established.

Once a year you will be asked to complete a very brief Student Evaluation Report on your MusicLink student’s progress. This keeps our records up to date and lets us know how the MusicLink student is doing. No other paperwork is required.

The MusicLink Foundation assists in linking promising students in need with professional music teachers who have agreed to reduce the normal rate for lessons by at least half. Students may be nominated by their school, youth organization or parent.
Enrollment requires information regarding financial need reflected by eligibility for the Federal Free/Reduced Lunch Program. Other factors may also be taken into consideration when determining financial eligibility.
Income guidelines for participation can be found on the MusicLink Parent/Student Registration Form. To review them, please click the button below, and scroll down to the portion of the Registration Form that reads, "Income eligibility parameters". Applicants who already qualify for free or reduced price lunch would check the appropriate box on the application.

After being linked to a MusicLink teacher, MusicLink students are responsible for preparing for lessons, practicing regularly according to the teacher’s directions and participating in activities planned by the teacher. Music lessons require parental support and encouragement with consistent practice essential for success. Parents are responsible for paying lesson fees as negotiated with the teacher.
The MusicLink Foundation assists students in acquiring a practice instrument as needed and available and also provides discounts on required music and materials.
If you are interested in having your child participate in the MusicLink program, please click the button below and complete the Parent/Student Registration and Policy Form. After you submit the form, a MusicLink Coordinator will contact you and you will have the opportunity to get more information about the program.

Donations can be made online with the national MusicLink Foundation, and will return to Oregon when specified by the donor.
